Weekly Photo Challenge: On Top
My dear sweet cousin recently married an amazing man. I couldn’t be happier for them. You can tell that they are on top of the world.
T&J got married
I’ve posted enough pictures from the family wedding we shot for you all to know that we were asked to be the photographers for our niece’s wedding. Here are some more images from that very fun experience. Thanks to T&J for letting us share their beautiful day.
The first two are from the family dinner the night before.
The ceremony was at the beautiful LDS San Antonio Temple.
Don’t mess with these men.
After the ceremony, we all headed to Chewy’s for lunch.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Threshold
To me, newborns and newlyweds are the best symbols of thresholds. Both are starting a new, exciting experience.

Cee’s Black & White Challenge: 50 Years or Older
This year, my parents will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary. I snapped this picture of them in 2012 at my nephew’s wedding. It just seemed fitting for this challenge.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Treasure
Treasures: his smile, his sense of humor, his tenderness, his kindness, his quiet strength, his sexiness, his love.

A Photo a Week Challenge: The Look of Love
Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. For many people, this is the day that represents love. Love comes in so many forms (romantic, platonic, familial), it’s hard to pin it down. I like to think of love as an action instead of an emotion. This picture is from my nephew’s wedding two years ago. While I have many pictures of the bride and groom, I adore this picture of the bride and her father. I also love the look that the groom is giving his new father-in-law. Every day we choose where and how we give our love, not just on Valentine’s Day.
And just in case you think I’m neglecting the person I choose to love, here he is looking at me with so much love in his eyes it stops my heart:
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO THAT YOU FEEL REPRESENTS LOVE.
All you need is love. Love makes the world go round. Love changes everything. Love means different things to everyone. Find images of love to share. Then blog them and post a link to your find here.
Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.
Here’s how it works:
1. Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.
3. Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.
