A Photo a Week Challenge: Flying

flying_nmp

I love flying. I love traveling and visit new places, and the fastest and easiest way to get somewhere far away is flying. I’ve flown around the world (almost literally). I’ve been to Korea and Europe, the South Pacific and Great Britain. I’ve flown across the United States multiple times. However, I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed flying as much as my sweet little subject for this great family photo shoot. She loves lying on her stomach and flinging out her arms and legs. Her mom and grandmother were standing behind me, encouraging her. And I got to experience joy front and center.

IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO (OR MORE) THAT FEATURE FLYING OR FLIGHT.

Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.
  3. Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
  4. Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.

Cee’s Black & White Challenge: Perspective

During a newborn shoot, the big brother fell asleep and we couldn’t resist taking some pictures of them sleeping side-by-side. This bottom shot was irresistible.

Sunday Stills: Happiness Is…

I love my husband and his crazy sense of humor (he got my dad and uncle to pose for this “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” photo). I also love photographing weddings. There are many, many more things that make me happy. These were the first two I thought of.

A Photo a Week: Photo bomb

Photo bomb

We’ve all seen them, and many of us of done them. Photo bombing is so popular that Jimmy Fallon did a photo bombing segment with Cameron Diaz on the Tonight Show. My husband has been known to photo bomb at wedding receptions (making him the bane of many a wedding photographyin the greater Salt Lake Valley area). A well-done photo bomb can create a great photo that you love. A bad photo bomb can ruin an amazing shot. No matter the setting, a photo bomb usually gets most of the comments when looking through photos.

IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO THAT’S BEEN PHOTO BOMBED.
