On Maui, we rented a car and drove the road to Hana. Now, the town of Hana isn’t much, once you get there, but getting there is a bit of a crazy ride. Windy, narrow, washed-out in places, it was a harrowing journey, but the scenery along the way was incredible. No wonder people do it, although we decided that the one time was enough for us.
This beautiful pool and water fall were down a small trail near a bridge on the road to Hana. We stopped at several of these, and each one was just a beautiful. But to see this, you have to be willing to get out of your car and walk about a quarter mile down a damp path crowded with roots and wet branches hitting you in the face. It was worth it.
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO (OR THREE OR…) OF PLACES OR THINGS YOU HAD TO SEEK FOR.
Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography. Here’s how it works:
- Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ and “Photo a Week” tags.
- Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
- Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.
