A Photo a Week Challenge: From the Back
Stories happen from all angles. Facial expression convey so much. However, this week I want you to find photos that tell stories showing only the back of your subject or subjects. For this photo, the bride asked if we could get some pictures of them on the bench, but from behind. It was a great suggestion. I love the gentleness that comes through from both her and him in this image.
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE ONE OR MORE PHOTOS WHERE THE SUBJECT IS SHOWN FROM THE BACK.
Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography. Here’s how it works:
- Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ and “Photo a Week” tags.
- Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.

Weekly Photo Challenge: From Every Angle
I had the privilege of photographing this lovely couple’s bridals for their wedding. They also had a videographer with them, so when they revealed the dress to the groom, he shot it from multiple angles, which let me move around the couple and grab shots from every angle as well. I love the results, and the groom’s reaction (in the final two photos) was priceless.

A Photo a Week Challenge: White
In many cultures, colors carry significant meanings. In the United States, black is for mourning, pink is for young girls, blue is for boys, and white is for weddings. Though many brides will choose their “colors” for the bridesmaids, flowers, and decorations, white is traditionally reserved for the bride. It represents purity. What does white mean in your culture?
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO THAT INCLUDE THE COLOR WHITE AS THE MAIN COLOR OR AN ACCENT.
Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.
