Changes to the Photo a Week Challenge

Big Sur sunset

Hi, everyone. Before anyone gets too nervous, I just wanted to let you all know that I will be continuing the challenge. However, due to a hectic work schedule and just life in general, I will no longer be commenting on everyone’s entries. I’m sure you’ve noticed a delay recently. I love that you all love the challenges. Please, please, please continue entering and sharing your wonderful photos. Please visit each other’s entries and like and comment.

Thanks for all of the wonderful support, and here’s to more happy photo snapping!

A picture … and a contest

Peace rose in full bloom

This contest is now closed. I have contacted the winner, and I will post who it is as soon I hear back from them. Thank you, all!

I realized the other day that I’ve reached a small milestone on this blog. Word a Week: Mistake was my 100th post. That’s a lot of posting and a lot of pictures. So I’ve decided to offer a contest. The rules are simple; entering is even simpler.

Rules: Anyone who can read this blog may enter (including family members). International entries are acceptable. If you are the winner, the only “off limits” images are the ones that are obviously people I care about. There are few things I can think of that give me the creeps more than someone displaying a non-artistic picture of people they don’t know. *shudder*

How to Enter: Starting today and ending at midnight on October 23, 2013, comment on this post and tell me what your favorite image is and why.

Prize: An 8×10 of any one of the images on this blog (I do own all the rights to them, after all). It will probably be the one you mention in your comment — barring the limitations mentioned in the Rules. The winner will be selected randomly in a drawing on October 24, 2013. I will post who the winner is on the blog and how to contact me so that I can send you the print. I live in the Western United States, so delivery time will be affected by how far away you live from me and what the mail service is like there.

I’m looking forward to discovering what kinds of pictures ya’ll like to see.
