Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Open Topic

Open topics are both hard and easy. Easy, because you can do anything, and hard because you can do ANYTHING! Here are a few images from my life the last few months.

A Photo a Week Challenge: White

Beautiful Jennifer in her wedding dress

In many cultures, colors carry significant meanings. In the United States, black is for mourning, pink is for young girls, blue is for boys, and white is for weddings. Though many brides will choose their “colors” for the bridesmaids, flowers, and decorations, white is traditionally reserved for the bride. It represents purity. What does white mean in your culture?

IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO THAT INCLUDE THE COLOR WHITE AS THE MAIN COLOR OR AN ACCENT.

Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ and “Photo a Week” tags.
  3. Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
  4. Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.

J Bridals Teaser

In late September, I had the chance to do the engagement photos our niece and her fiance. Last week, we headed to Memory Grove and the Utah State Capitol Building for the bridals. I’m only posting one right now, so that she gets the honor of revealing her dress and over-all look the day of the wedding. We were lucky enough to catch a beautiful, late afternoon late October day for the shoot. I’m excited to share more after the wedding, but here’s a teaser. She really does have the prettiest eyes and smile.
