Hello everyone! I’m back. The surgery went well, and I’m deep into recovery mode now. For today’s challenge, we are looking for your favorite selfie. Mine is from this week. We went to Texas to be extras on the set of The Chosen TV series. If you haven’t heard of it, The Chosen is based on the New Testament Gospels and follows Jesus and his disciples during his ministry. They are hoping to film 7 or 8 seasons with 8 episodes per season. The episode we will be in is for Season 3 and shows the feeding of the 5,000 with two fish and five loaves of bread. It was very fun to go and be on set with 4,500 other extras, all of the crew, and the main cast. It took all day, and then they had another 4,500 extras coming the next day to do more filming. Quite the undertaking.
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO OF SELFIES.
Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.
Here’s how it works:
- Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.
- Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
- Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.
Nancy,
I’m glad you’re doing well and that you’re back!!! Remember to take care of yourself first!
Best Wishes!
Tim
I am. I have a great surgery team, and my surgeon will actually be replacing my bad knee this fall.
How nice to hear that!
Thanks, Aletta!
I’m jealous that you get to be in The Chosen!
It was so much fun. And so fun to meet so many different people from so many different places.
Glad to hear you are feeling good. Keep getting better!
Doing better every day. Thanks!

Glad to read you’re doing well.
Thank you!
Wonderful news. I hope you get a bit of bread and fish 🙂
We didn’t because we were too far back, but it was still a great experience. (Also, the fish and bread weren’t really edible. They were real, but had been prepared several days before, so no one was actually eating them. 🙂 )
Glad to hear that your surgery went well.
Yes! The same surgeon will do a knee replacement for me in September. It’s a harder recovery, but I know I’m in good hands.
That’s good to hear and a lovely selfie of you both 😊
Oh, thank you, Alison!
Glad that by God’s grace everything went on well Nancy M.
Happy that you are back in action.
