That’s an incredible building. I think it’s the first time I’ve seen it at night and it is stunning. The only “building” I’ve seen that is more impressive is when they nightly light up the wall of Jerusalem.
It really is stunning. It’s going to close at the end of the year for major earthquake upgrades and renovations, so it might be a few years before I can take another shot of it like this. 😦 A lot of the surrounding area in Temple Square will also be closed during the work, including demolition of one of the visitor centers. The North Visitor Center, the Tabernacle, and the Assembly Hall won’t be affected, so maybe they will still have some Christmas lights during construction.
