A Photo a Week Challenge: New

New Year’s is Tuesday. I’ve always wondered why we begin the year in the middle of winter. The world is hibernating; most people hunker down and only head outside when absolutely necessary. On Tuesday, the calendar turns over and 2019 will make its appearance. What will the new year hold for each of us?

My photos are new outside Christmas lights for our house.

IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO (OR MORE) OF SOMETHING NEW.

Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.
  3. Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
  4. Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.

  1. I love the first photo of the Christmas lights Nancy. Yes I enjoy playing around with the “out of focus effect”
I guess it is so different for me. Beginning a new year in the heat of Summer where everyone is outside seeking a cool breeze or inside under a fan or in Air-conditioning.
Thanks for hosting the challenges this year. I look forward to more next year if you are up to it.
Happy New Year Nancy and onward to 2019
