With huge apologizes to everyone about the lateness of this post, I present this week’s photo challenge. Three years ago, at this same spot, I took a picture of a young couple for their bridal/formal wedding photos. This year, I was able to do the same for that bride’s father as he was preparing to remarry. This week I want you to find photos that tell stories showing only the back of your subject or subjects.
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE ONE OR MORE PHOTOSย WHERE THE SUBJECT IS SHOWN FROM THE BACK.
And just in case you were interested, here’s the original photo of the other couple:

Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isnโt about photography. Hereโs how it works:
- Each week, Iโll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blogย (a new post!)ย anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post โA Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)โ and be sure to use the โpostadayโณ and โPhoto a Weekโย tags.
- Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
- Followย nancy merrill photographyย so that you donโt miss out on weekly challenge announcements.
Lovely! It’s something about true love that really attracts me.
The photographs are amazing!
Thanks! I love photographing couples for their weddings. It’s really hard to take a bad picture because they are so happy and it shines in their faces.
Beautiful wedding pose!

apparently I take a lot of these…and many of them sad…
Wow!
This is certainly heartwarming ๐
Thanks, Hammad!
(Nope, I just don’t get how to do a “pingback”! This looks exactly the same as my comment just above…)
so tender, both of them.

Good Saturday Afternoon,
Intriguing photographs of two, obviously, in love couples.
I adore the casual feel with sprinkles of joy on top.
It brought a smile to see the confidence in the embrace of the father
as opposed to the younger mans.
Hope you enjoy my entry ….

Wonderful wedding photos. I am always intrigued by what is seen from that perspective. The body language. The setting. Thanks for a great challenge. It was such fun!

Beautiful. The ”Unaware” photographs often produce the best shots.
Very true. I love candid photos.

Something different here, but your wedding photos are beautiful
heading over from Garry Armstrong’s take – rather by mistake because I wanted to see what HE had to say, but glad I did…. two heart-warming and truly wonderful takes – thank you for this moment of happiness, seeping right into this viewer’s soul ๐
Thanks, Kiki!
Nancy, that photo is so touching – such a tender candid moment. Nice work!
Thanks, Shelley!
