I might make this an annual challenge. St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow, and I will of course be wearing green. And eating corned beef and cabbage. I am Irish on both sides, and I love green. I don’t remember the name of this waterfall, but it was one of my favorites on Kauai. And look at all of that green!
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A NEW PHOTO OR TWO (OR MORE) FEATURING THE COLOR GREEN.
Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isnβt about photography.
Hereβs how it works:
- Each week, Iβll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blogΒ (a new post!)Β anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post βA Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)β and be sure to use the βpostadayβ³Β tag.
- Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
- FollowΒ nancy merrill photographyΒ so that you donβt miss out on weekly challenge announcements.
I’m not sure I will be eating cabbage… but I’ll join you with some Guinness and a few green jelly shots. We will be out running in green again this year but it’s cold and possibly raining so we might seek shelter soon in one of the Irish Pubs in Frankfurt.

I’m not Irish, but I love green, Guinness (and dark beer in general) , and corned beef. I especially like corned beef hash the next day! Yum!!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Gorgeous shot of Wailua Falls Nancy! I visited Kauai a few years ago. The falls are so impressive. The crazy thing is that you just park your car on the dirt road and walk over and take a picture. We also hiked to the river above the falls. Also pretty up there. I would love to go back some day.
Thanks. And thanks for the reminder of the name of the falls. It was amazing that it was so close to where you park. π
Reminds me on my visit in Green Ireland!
I love Ireland!
It being St. Patrick’s Day, Green is the color of the day. I was going to wear something green, only to discover the only dress I have in green is one that looks really awful on me. It’s not too tight, too loose, or badly made. It just makes ME look badly made.
Your waterfall looks as if it is part of a rain forest with that incredible richness!
Is Hawaii a rain forest? It might be. π Yeah, don’t wear anything that makes you feel like you don’t look good.
Iβve got Irish on both sides, too! Beautiful picture. Have a happy St. Patrickβs Day! βοΈπβοΈ
π Thanks!
Just love that waterfall Nancy.

What a beautiful appealing photograph and location. There is nothing much green around here at the moment but took this a while ago. http://farmerswifedaybyday.blogspot.co.uk/2018/03/green.html
The picture looks great, and the challenge too. I too dropped a picture over this challenge.
There’s not much green yet here so I went back to last summer. π https://3rsofretirement.com/2018/03/18/a-photo-a-week-green/
This definitely looks majestic. Lovely spot π
Beautiful Waterfall Nancy. Here is my submission.
