Sorry about missing last week, but there are times when you just have to take a week off. This week is all about the weather where you live. In Utah, we’ve had a crazy bit of weather for the last month. January and most of February were horrible if you like to ski or own a ski resort. Then on Sunday night, a massive snow storm moved in. We shoveled the driveway three times in 24 hours. Once the storms move out, we got beautiful blue skies. And the snow-capped mountains against the blue sky is stunning.
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A NEW PHOTO OR TWO (OR MORE) OF YOUR LOCAL WEATHER.
Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.
Here’s how it works:
- Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.
- Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
- Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.
I wouldn’t mind switching your stunning view with my surroundings for a while.

It is beautiful — but I don’t miss it! 😉 Here’s my contribution: https://livingwithmyancestors.wordpress.com/2018/02/22/a-photo-a-week-challenge-your-weather-today/
Now, THAT is beautiful. Not so beautiful here. Grey, nasty, with sleet on the way. That’s February around these parts. It will get better sometime in mid April. Probably.
We’ve had almost record snowfall this week. It’s like Mother Nature is trying to make up for the last month and a half of unseasonably warm and dry weather.
A lovely shot Nancy!
Thanks! I love taking photos after big storms. Everything feels and looks so fresh.
Can’t match the drama of your weather, Nancy – such conditions are unheard of in Johannesburg!
Lovely photograph.
Thanks! Utah weather is very unpredictable, though the tv stations pay meteorologist a pretty good salary to try. 😉

I waited for your challenge last week a lot. I don’t capture a lot of pictures, but I still like to participate in this challenge. 🤗🤗
Thanks. Sorry about last week. We had a close friend pass away unexpectedly and it threw everything off.
Ohh.. thats sad. And theres nothing to be sorry for. Things go unexpectedly, and there is always a chance for flexibility. 🙂
Very magnificent capture this is, Nancy 🙂
Thanks, Hammad!
