My husband and I sing in a local chorale that practices weekly. We are getting ready to perform our annual spring concert. At last week’s rehearsal, I grabbed this shot of our sister-in-law (her voice is amazingly like Karen Carpenter’s) who also sings in the group. Music is a huge part of our lives. I have a degree in Music Education, and my husband and I met doing a musical with a local community theater group. In today’s world, it’s hard to get away from music. We hear it in stores, listen to it constantly on the radio in our cars. Almost everyone is plugged in to their iPods or phones. Movies, TV shows, and commercials all have soundtracks. What music makes up the soundtrack of your life?
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO (OR MORE) THAT SHOW MUSIC.
Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.
Here’s how it works:
- Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.
- Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
- Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.
I had no idea you were a music major! I have a B.A. and M.A. in music ed, taught elementary general music for 12 years.
My focus was secondary in choral conducting. I never taught in the public schools, but I’ve taught piano and voice privately for over 30 years. 🙂

Music was once a very big part of my life, too. Not so much these days, but I miss it.

I have to depend on others for my music. I do wish I could sing. 🙂 https://3rsofretirement.com/2017/04/25/a-photo-a-week-music-2/
