Portrait photography isn’t just about faces. It’s about capturing the essence of your subject. Hands and feet create wonderful images that can tell a lot about a person. This is the foot of a two-day old baby. I love the texture created by the lines in the soul. For a moment during this shoot, she was relaxed and calm.
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO (OR MORE) THAT FEATURE FEET.
Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.
Here’s how it works:
- Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.
- Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
- Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.

so cute, the foot! 🙂
Well said Nancy.
I’m surprised a baby’s foot is so wrinkled – I thought it would be smooth!
It takes a few days for them to fill out completely. By two weeks, they are mostly smooth and cuddly. 🙂
Very expressive foot you are showing!
Pingback didn’t work, I’ll give my link like this before I try again: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2017/04/07/feet-galore-2/?preview_id=6303&preview_nonce=4ee54620de
What a sweet photo…..I had to rely on my dog to get a sweet foot photo for this week!
A Photo A Week Challenge: Feet
That little baby foot is so sweet! Feet are cute before we ruin them by walking!
So true! I find my own feet to be unworthy of photographing. I like yours, though. Nice job!
feet really are like a portrait
They can be. They tell us where we’ve been. 🙂
Very lovely one this is, Nancy!
