Ever lined up the perfect shot only to have your subject make other plans? As frustrating as that can be, sometimes it creates really fun shots that you end up loving. This little beauty decided she was done with me taking her picture and was ready to wander off to a new adventure. I love the movement in her feet, the focus she has given her new interest, and the level of bokeh. My only regret for this image is that I wasn’t fast enough to switch from portrait to landscape. Ah, the missed opportunity…
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE ONE OR TWO OR MORE PHOTOS FEATURING MISSED OPPORTUNITIES (OR NOT 🙂 ).
Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.
Here’s how it works:
- Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.
- Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
- Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.
P.S. For those wishing to see Skye behaving well and letting me take her picture, here’s the one from just before she decided to walk away:

I had to take it out of the waste bin! https://geriatrixfotogallerie.wordpress.com/2017/01/20/just-missed/
That’s a really good looking pup there! Mine will be up Monday. I try to schedule stuff so it doesn’t all get lost on a single day 🙂
She’s a beauty, and she knows it. 😀

I love your dog! I usually delete my just missed photos- it happens more often than I care to admit 🙂 But here are some I found https://dailymusing57.com/2017/01/23/a-photo-a-week-challenge-just-missed/
A friend who did professional portraits for years said that, with film, she had to be willing to sacrifice 50 shots too get the one she really wanted.
Love the theme and your shot !
Thanks!
