A Photo a Week Challenge: Happiness Is…

Our daughter is getting married a week from today (PSA: there will be no challenge next Thursday). They asked me to take their engagement pictures (and no, I am not shooting the wedding). The wedding will be in one of the Salt Lake Valley canyons, so we went there to take the photos. We are so happy for them. They are perfect for each other. They make each other happy, as you can see from these pictures. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. (P.S. Sorry about the photo dump. We’re a little proud of our children.)

IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO OF THINGS THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY OR THAT SHOW HAPPINESS.

Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.
  3. Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
  4. Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.

  1. Wonderful wonderful photos. How would they ever choose one as “the” official engagement portrait? He obviously adores her and you’ve caught that so well. Congratulations to your daughter and to you and your family, Nancy.

  2. Your photos are amazing! I’m not a photographer but I’ve been thinking I’d like to do a challenge for a while! I might try my hand and if not I’ll certainly enjoy following. The images are just beautiful.
