When my husband was researching places to go for our trip to Switzerland and Germany, he discovered St. Coloman Church outside Schwangau, Germany. It may be the most photographed building in the area, aside from the castles. It’s location (you can see Neuschwanstein in the background) makes it ideally placed for a great photo opt, not to mention that it’s just a beautiful building in its own right. It sits in a field with no other buildings near it. The mountains and far-away castle give it an other-worldly feeling. In a trip filled with amazing locations and places to photograph, this was one of my favorites.
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO OF THE COUNTRY.
Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.
Here’s how it works:
- Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.
- Come back here and post a link to your image in the comments for this challenge.
- Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.

Being as we live in the country, this should be too hard a bar to jump … except that making choices, oh my. No fairy castles, I’m afraid. Just … country 🙂
And mine is up. Hope it’s not overkill, but this is a topic near and dear to me 🙂
Here’s a few from travels in the UK https://tvortravels.wordpress.com/2016/07/16/a-photo-a-week-challenge-out-in-the-country/

Here is my entry– https://musinwithsusan.com/2016/07/18/a-photo-a-week-challenge-out-in-the-country/. I drove a ways out in the country looking for a barn for an earlier challenge. Found this barn and it’s curious occupant.
Here’s a bit more than one photo for the week, Nancy! https://judydykstrabrown.com/2016/07/19/a-photo-a-week-challenge-out-in-the-country/
