Nice shot. Most of these shots are taken during a full moon. Nice to see a half moon. Great resolution.
Thanks! I wish I could take credit for all of it, but it was really just a matter of getting the telescope in the correct place by watching a computer monitor and then hitting a series of keystrokes. It’s an unusual way to take a picture. 🙂
Great shot, Nancy. 🙂
Thanks! 🙂
I was going to say you have quite a telephoto lens! 🙂 Reminds me of the photos we took through the spotting scope in a Costa Rican rain forest, shots we wouldn’t otherwise have been able to get.
janet
This was just a really, REALLY big spotting scope. 😉
Since what you were spotting was really, REALLY bigger and really, REALLY farther away, that works!
Stunning shot Nancy. 😀
Thanks! I didn’t really do much to get it. Mostly just pushed a button on a keyboard. The telescope did most of the work. 🙂
The details are amazing. Was this your first time photographing with a telescope?
Yes, but my brother-in-law is a part-owner of the observatory and he guided us through the process.
Outstanding 🙂
Thanks! 😀
amazing.
Thank you. 🙂
Good shot, Nancy. Not easy.
Thanks!
wow such a kewl shot 🙂
Thanks!
Incredible!
Thanks!
Stunning!
Thanks!
I just love this shot and am insanely jealous of your telescope!!!
It belongs to an observatory that my brother-in-law was a part-owner of. He’s since sold his interest and is setting his own observatory. It’s in California, so we don’t have easy access to it. 😉
